Cryomation win £605,000 Innovate UK development grant

Cryomation were successful in their grant application for Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency, to support the building of the world’s first fully automated Cryomation Unit. Innovate UK will provide £605,000 funding toward the £1.427m project, delivered in collaboration with Liquid Nitrogen gas specialist Air Products Plc. and 18 specialist engineering subcontractors. The project is due to commence in September 2019 and will see the worlds first operational Cryomation tested and delivered in late spring 2021.

Cryomation Chairman Duncan Foster said of the award “the notification that Cryomation have won another funding competition is fantastic news that we see the delivery programme for Cryomation technology significantly accelerated. Innovate UK have supported Cryomation research and development from the outset and we are pleased they are continuing to support the final stages to commercialisation.
